GIF Do Now & Text GIF



Making a GIF- Text 

  1. Open Photoshop and go to New- File 
                  Width:  6 inches                                                        Width: 4 inches
                  Height: 4 inches                                  OR Height: 6 inches
                
                 Resolution: 150- 200 pixels/inch    

  1. Find an image that you want to use on Google and paste it into the file in Photoshop
     CTRL-V to Paste
     
  1. CTRL- T to Resize/Transform the picture to fit the whole canvas

Text

  1. Go to the Text tool on the toolbar. It looks like a T

  1. After selecting the Text tool, you can customize your font/text on the top of the screen. You can change the Font, Size & Color


  1. Click and drag your mouse to create a box. You will write in this box to create your text. 
If you want to move the box, you can either press CTRL- T & move the box, or use your Move Tool to move the box. 

  1. File- Save the image first as a .PSD and then File- Save As as a .JPEG
           Describe the action/text and add 1 at the end (this is the first image of the GIF sequence)
  
  Ex: Stars Text 1
        Cat Text 1

  1. Now you can either add more Text or you can move the text box around.

  1. File- Save As a .PSD and then File- Save As as a. JPEG
     The Title is the same as the last one but change the number from 1 to 2 (this is the second image of the GIF sequence)

  Ex: Stars Text 1 
        Cat Text  2

  1. Continue either adding text or moving it around a couple of more times, saving it each time.
          **The more frames you have, the smoother the animation**

  1. Open up the GIF Maker site https://gifmaker.me/ and upload your photos in. Make sure that it is number order!
  2. When done making your GIF, press "Create GIF" and then "Download GIF"
  3.  Post it on your blog!
